If you need to make a mesh of hexagons which fit within a circle (perhaps as a grille ), I've made a Postscript file which will print out accurately. You can download the file here.

Postscript is actually a programming language - you can read and edit the file with a text editor. I've included adequate comments within the file, so you can choose your own dimensions.

To view the file on your computer you will need a program such as Ghostscript. On Windows, you should install the companion GSView as well. Both are free - good programs, although the authors are a bit inclined to explain all the complexities you don't want to know about.

If you get deeper into the programming you could even change the circle to something else. My potted guide to simple Postscript is here.
